About BoatCost

BoatCost is a free, client-side estimator for people who want the real monthly number before they buy. It combines a loan payment with slip or trailer storage, insurance, registration, winterization, fuel, and maintenance.

There is no account, no database, and no marina marketplace. Share links store your inputs in the query string so you can send a scenario to a spouse or a broker.

Formulas live in code, not in the page. Loan math is standard amortization. Fuel uses published specific fuel consumption and fuel weight. Depreciation is a simple 15% year-one then 10% per year model. None of this is a quote.
